VISTA PowerX is a premium-grade micro silica (silica fume) supplied by Vista Chemtech for high-strength, high-durability concrete. Composed of ultra-fine amorphous silicon dioxide, VISTA PowerX works in two ways: physically as a micro-filler that packs the voids between cement particles, and chemically as a highly reactive pozzolan that converts free lime into additional binding compounds. The result is denser, stronger, and far more durable concrete.
Function
When added to a concrete mix, VISTA PowerX micro silica refines the pore structure and dramatically reduces permeability. This delivers superior resistance to chloride ingress, sulphate attack, and abrasion — making it essential for structures exposed to aggressive environments such as marine works, bridges, tunnels, water-retaining structures, and industrial floors.

Technical Specification
VISTA PowerX conforms to IS 15388 and ASTM C1240 for silica fume used in concrete:
- Silicon dioxide (SiO₂): minimum 85%
- Chloride content: maximum 0.3%
- Appearance: fine grey to off-white powder
Dosage & Directions
VISTA PowerX is typically used at 5–10% by weight of cement, depending on the target strength and durability requirements. Optimum dosage should be determined by trial mix. Batch the product directly into the concrete mixer and mix thoroughly to ensure full dispersion. A superplasticizer such as VISTA SUPERPLAST or HYPERPLAST is recommended to maintain workability at low water-cement ratios.
